Getting Ready to get Back in Action

Hey Everyone,

So as you may have noticed, it’s been a little while since I had any comic updates on The Fusion Webcomic. And no, I haven’t forgot about it, just been very occupied with a whole lot of other things like work, serving in ministry, family, other art projects, life, etc. and haven’t had as much time to build on this important project of mine. On the other hand I have in a way been working on The Fusion since the last update you saw, such as developing more story lines, scripts, and character designs; but I got to get more of the comic itself posted online before I can start showing off that other stuff right? With that said I have a little bit more time this week, and a big to-do list for this webcomic to become alive and well again without any long gaps in-between updates.

So before this week is over there will be a few updates to the website again. First of all, more comic pages for The Fusion Webcomic, and secondly some new blog articles. Some of the next blogs, and I’m aiming for vlogs too, is to create a series of articles describing my Comic Convention experiences from 2014. As we are now in 2015, I think it would be important if I’m able to knock out some blogs on past events before I start attending, and in turn, blogging about the new ones I will be going to this year. To name a few, I will be putting out some blogs on last year’s Long Beach Comic Expo, Wonder Con, San Diego Comic Con (Which I got to attend all 4 days for the first time ever!), and CTN Animation Expo. So as I’m writing these articles out, if anyone of you may have questions about these events, please be sure to drop in some questions, maybe I can answer a few of them for you, especially if you’re looking to perhaps going to one of these events yourself one day. And lastly get ready for more of The Fusion!

Sincerely,
Joshua Tukes

Journey with Me

Hello Everyone,

So I been brainstorming on a few topics I might start using my blog for. Obviously I will be talking about the process of the ongoing creation of The Fusion Webcomic and my other art projects. However, I also decided on something else which has been pressing on my heart for a few years, which is to use my blog for anything and everything that interests me, as well as using it as a place to share my inner thoughts with the world, and let those who are interested in my shared thoughts come find me online. To further add, I also am going to start something else that has been pressing on my spirit to do for the longest time ever; which is to start a series of vlogs (Video Blogs) on my YouTube Channel to incorporate with my blogs on my webcomic website.

Now with that said, there is a strong underlining theme that I am going to be focusing on with my vlogs, which is “The Journey With Me” theme. Because the vision I have for my life is very big, and The Fusion Webcomic is just one powerful piece of a much larger picture. (Matter of fact as The Fusion Webcomic continues to grow you will witness that The Fusion himself will use his comic series as a launch pad to accomplish much more then you may realize). So I believe it will be great to lend my personal voice as my own narrative for others to follow, share, and experience my story/journey with me. So if not by the end of this week, then for sure by next week you will see the first vlog of my “Journey With Me” YouTube series. I look forward to it, and I hope you do as well. Who knows, maybe my efforts can inspire you to document your personal journey towards the fulfillment of your life vision on video as well.

Welcome to The Fusion Webcomic

Agust 14th, 2014 at 5:53am

Hey everyone,

This is Joshua Tukes, the artist and creator of The Fusion; first off I would like to welcome you to my site. As you can see I’m still doing a few more updates to the site and getting a feel for this whole Word Press/Comic Easel thing lol. Anyway most of you may be coming to this webcomic through my personal social media channels or The Fusion’s promotional social media pages. If so then great, I most likely know who you are; but if you came by way of another venue then that’s equally as great. Anyway, I just launched this webcomic a few weeks ago, one week before 2014’s San Diego Comic Con to be exact. However I only had a few pages up and some of the resolution on the comic pages were to high for people’s browsers to upload. I fixed a few of those issues, added a few more comic pages, and sticking to a regular update plan of Tuesday’s and Thursday’s now. Let me know what you guys think so far and we will be sure to have more talks in the near future.

Enjoy the comic,
Joshua Tukes

Free Comic Book Day!

By Joshua Tukes

May 14th at 5:40pm

So last Saturday, on May 7th, was my second time showcasing my art and doing free sketches at the Moreno Valley Mall’s Zero Gravity Comic Book Store. It was awesome! I met a lot of cool people and got to put smiles on the faces of many when I drew someone a free sketch of one of their favorite characters. I didn’t have time to make my booth as nice I did last year, but I got some great help from a friend of mine to run my booth with me. Shout outs and thanks to Jermey, his team, and Lamarus for inviting me to feature my art, and promote The Fusion Webcomic at their store for Free Comic Book day. It was truly appreciated. And props to Brandon Woods for helping me with my booth.

Here are some photos of the sketches I did for people on Free Comic Book day.
